Check recipe parameter units and revision before importing PLC settings
A valid numeric recipe can be wrong for the machine version, product format or engineering-unit convention.
Environment and inputs: Industrial PLC / automation guidance · Verify the exact controller, module, firmware, engineering tool and machine documentation. Linked vendor examples apply to their stated products and library versions; observation, state changes and physical work require distinct authorization.
Observe and record
Review machine identity, recipe schema, units, allowed ranges and approved source revision using existing records.
Interpret the evidence
Identical field names do not guarantee identical scaling or physical meaning across equipment revisions. Default values can also change.
Resolve and verify
Migrate and validate the recipe through the process and controls owners with documented acceptance tests before authorized activation.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not load a recipe from a similar machine or bypass range checks simply because the file imports successfully.
