Separate a stale HMI client view from the gateway's current state
One operator screen can remain stale while another shows fresh data because session, binding or client-side update behavior differs.

Compare the same verified tag's value, quality and time through approved client and gateway diagnostics without changing machine state.
Interpret the evidence
A single frozen widget does not prove the PLC or entire HMI platform is down. Client state can differ from shared acquisition.
Resolve and verify
Repair the demonstrated client or binding issue and verify read-only behavior before returning the station to normal operation.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not operate controls through an uncertain stale screen or clear shared configuration indiscriminately to refresh one client.
