Inspect scheduled jobs with schtasks
A task may work interactively but fail overnight because it runs as another account or in another working directory. Capture the configured task context.
Environment and inputs: Windows 11 · Command Prompt unless PowerShell is specified
Try the diagnostic command
Use the stated shell and platform. Replace sample domains, addresses, services and paths with values from the system you are authorized to support.
schtasks /query /fo LIST /v
How to read the result
Verbose task output includes scheduling and last-run information. A completed trigger is not proof that the application produced the expected result.
What to do next
Find the relevant task, inspect its action and execution identity, then compare its last result with Task Scheduler history and the application's own logs. Check the output artifact as well.
Before you make a change
The full query can expose command arguments and account names. Do not paste secrets or task credentials into a ticket.
