Collect storage reliability counters without treating them as a verdict
Intermittent storage errors may need hardware telemetry alongside OS events. Collect counters exposed by the supported storage provider.

Start with this check
Confirm the host, shell and access role. Replace sample names, paths, domains and interfaces with approved targets. These are diagnostic commands; assess policy and workload impact before making changes.

Available values depend on device and provider support. Missing counters do not prove a disk is healthy, and vendor-specific thresholds may require hardware guidance.
Resolve and verify
Correlate errors, temperature and wear indicators with event times and the exact device identity. Escalate to the storage vendor with a protected diagnostic record.
Before changing production
Do not replace or retire a shared disk based solely on an isolated unsupported or ambiguous counter.
