Explain a PLC missing short sensor pulses
A pulse can be shorter than the input filter or the effective acquisition and task interval. A normal-looking slow test may not reproduce it.

Observe and record
Compare the documented sensor pulse duration with module filtering, process-image updates and task timing using approved recorded evidence.
Interpret the evidence
Faster program scan alone does not guarantee pulse capture. Hardware latching, counters and event facilities depend on the installed module.
Resolve and verify
Choose a supported acquisition design for the real production rate and validate it in an isolated or authorized controlled test with known counts.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not increase machine speed experimentally or remove required signal filtering without reviewing noise and response requirements.
