Investigate a drive that ignores PLC commands in local mode
A drive can accept a reference from its panel or another source instead of the PLC because its control-source selection differs.

Read the documented active command source, reference source and selected mode through approved status views.
Interpret the evidence
Command and setpoint sources can be independent. A visible PLC value does not establish that the drive currently uses it.
Resolve and verify
Have the drive and controls owners reconcile the approved source selection and mode-change procedure, then validate the intended command path safely.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not switch control source on a running machine or bypass local operator authority without coordination.
