ORA-02019: check a database link in the correct schema
A remote operation can fail because the referenced link is not visible or its connection description is missing. Identify the parsing schema first.
Environment and inputs: Oracle Database 19c baseline · SQL*Plus-compatible SQL unless RMAN, DGMGRL, ADRCI or a host shell is specified. Check release, patch level, edition and container first.
Start with this diagnostic
Use the stated SQL, RMAN, DGMGRL or host shell and replace sample names with approved targets. DBA and V$ views need authorized catalog access in the correct container. Do not grant broad privileges for an example.
SELECT owner, db_link, username, host FROM all_db_links;
Read the result
The view lists accessible link metadata. A similarly named private link in another schema is not automatically usable by this session.
Resolve and verify
Compare the SQL's link name, owner and approved remote service. Have the link owner repair the connection definition using secure credential handling.
Operational precautions
Do not print link passwords, create a public link as a shortcut or test an untrusted remote destination.
