ORA-29273: inspect the detailed HTTP failure beneath the wrapper
A UTL_HTTP request failure can wrap DNS, proxy, TLS, ACL or remote-response errors. Preserve the lower-level stack and destination context.
Environment and inputs: Oracle Database 19c baseline · SQL*Plus-compatible SQL unless RMAN, DGMGRL, ADRCI or a host shell is specified. Check release, patch level, edition and container first.
Start with this diagnostic
Use the stated SQL, RMAN, DGMGRL or host shell and replace sample names with approved targets. DBA and V$ views need authorized catalog access in the correct container. Do not grant broad privileges for an example.
SELECT SYSTIMESTAMP, SYS_CONTEXT('USERENV','CURRENT_USER') AS current_user FROM dual;
Read the result
The current principal and timestamp help correlate the call with ACL policy and remote logs. They do not identify the lower-level HTTP cause alone.
Resolve and verify
Obtain the sanitized detailed application error and check ACL, wallet, DNS and proxy dependencies in the order indicated. Reproduce against a permitted harmless endpoint.
Operational precautions
Do not disable TLS validation or log authentication headers while collecting HTTP diagnostics.
