PLC / Backups, Changes & Commissioning
Separate factory logic tests from site-specific PLC acceptance
A project can pass factory testing while installation, network, field devices or site procedures differ after commissioning.
Environment and inputs: Industrial PLC / automation guidance · Verify the exact controller, module, firmware, engineering tool and machine documentation. Linked vendor examples apply to their stated products and library versions; observation, state changes and physical work require distinct authorization.
Observe and record
Record which requirements were tested in the factory and which depend on the actual site configuration and physical equipment.
Interpret the evidence
A signed software test does not validate every field circuit or process interaction. Changes between environments can alter assumptions.
Resolve and verify
Create the approved site acceptance plan covering the actual interfaces, versions, operating modes and recovery behavior, and retain evidence of resolved differences.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not reuse factory results as proof that untested site safety or installation conditions are acceptable.
