Observe and record
Record final approved code and firmware revisions, changed mappings or parameters, test results, outstanding limitations and backup identifiers.
Interpret the evidence
A verbal report or working machine is not enough to reproduce the validated configuration during a later outage.
Resolve and verify
Update the controlled maintenance package and verify the responsible operators and support staff can locate the correct diagnostics and recovery process.
