Verify what a PLC project archive actually contains
A project archive can omit libraries, device descriptions, external files or configuration depending on the selected options and platform.

Observe and record
Review the archive manifest and documented export options against the machine's approved dependency inventory without extracting over working files.
Interpret the evidence
An archive extension does not guarantee a self-contained engineering environment. Some dependencies may require separate licensed installers or device packages.
Resolve and verify
Create a versioned complete recovery package and test opening and rebuilding it in an isolated compatible environment before relying on it.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not overwrite the only verified archive or assume an export dialog's success proves restorability.
