Kubernetes / Deployments, Scheduling & Batch Workloads
Validate business completion separately from a Job's successful Pod count
A batch process can exit zero while producing incomplete or wrong output. Inspect the Job's completion criteria and result contract.
Environment and inputs: Kubernetes · kubectl with supported client/server versions and delegated RBAC. Examples use namespace app unless noted. Check context, namespace, APIs and provider support first.
Start with this check
Confirm the environment and replace sample objects, namespaces, images, paths and hosts with approved targets. Share only relevant, sanitized output. Follow the workload owner’s process for changes.
kubectl -n app get job reconcile -o yaml
Read the result
The manifest shows configured parallelism, completions and recorded status. It does not inspect output artifacts or external transaction results.
Resolve and verify
Compare the expected records or artifacts with the approved run identifier and logs. Fix the application's success signaling and validate representative failure cases.
Before changing production
Do not delete completed Jobs before retaining the required audit and recovery evidence.
