Investigate exec format error through image and node architecture
An image may pull successfully yet fail to execute because its binary or entrypoint does not match the node platform.
Environment and inputs: Kubernetes · kubectl with supported client/server versions and delegated RBAC. Examples use namespace app unless noted. Check context, namespace, APIs and provider support first.
Start with this check
Confirm the environment and replace sample objects, namespaces, images, paths and hosts with approved targets. Share only relevant, sanitized output. Follow the workload owner’s process for changes.
kubectl get nodes -L kubernetes.io/arch,kubernetes.io/os
Read the result
The labels identify reported node operating systems and architectures. They do not inspect every binary packaged inside an image.
Resolve and verify
Compare the scheduled node with the image's verified platform manifests and executable format. Build or select the supported artifact and test on the intended platform.
Before changing production
Do not force placement onto an incompatible node or download an untrusted binary to patch a running container.
