Kubernetes / Pods, Containers & Application Health
Check Kubernetes command and args against the image entrypoint
A workload can override an image's intended startup command and fail before application initialization. Inspect the actual Pod specification.
Environment and inputs: Kubernetes · kubectl with supported client/server versions and delegated RBAC. Examples use namespace app unless noted. Check context, namespace, APIs and provider support first.
Start with this check
Confirm the environment and replace sample objects, namespaces, images, paths and hosts with approved targets. Share only relevant, sanitized output. Follow the workload owner’s process for changes.
kubectl -n app get pod web-0 -o jsonpath='{.spec.containers[0].command}{" "}{.spec.containers[0].args}'
Read the result
The example examines the first regular container only. Select the intended container and compare with the image metadata; omitted values can inherit defaults.
Resolve and verify
Correct argument boundaries, executable paths or shell assumptions in the managed workload and validate the next controlled rollout.
Before changing production
Do not add a shell to an image solely to hide a malformed argument list, and do not expose secret-bearing arguments in shared evidence.
