Find a Docker network subnet overlapping the office or VPN network
A container subnet can conflict with an external route and send traffic toward the wrong destination. Inspect allocated ranges.
Environment and inputs: Docker Engine · Compose v2 and Buildx where specified; Linux containers unless noted. Verify daemon context, installed feature support and authorized host or Swarm manager access first.
Start with this check
Confirm the environment and replace sample objects, namespaces, images, paths and hosts with approved targets. Share only relevant, sanitized output. Follow the workload owner’s process for changes.
docker network inspect --format '{{json .IPAM.Config}}' appnet
Read the result
The IPAM configuration shows this network's allocated ranges and gateway context. Other networks and host policy routes must also be compared.
Resolve and verify
Coordinate a nonoverlapping approved address plan and recreate the managed network only with a reviewed workload and data plan. Verify both local peers and remote dependencies.
Before changing production
Do not delete active networks or change address pools during an unprotected production incident.
