Rehearse PLC recovery without connecting a test controller to live machinery
A backup is only operationally useful when its project, dependencies, data and startup behavior can be restored correctly.

Observe and record
Define an isolated compatible target and approved recovery scope, including I/O isolation, program revision, retained data and separate HMI or drive configuration.
Interpret the evidence
A successful download is one recovery milestone, not proof that the machine sequence and process data are correct.
Resolve and verify
Execute the manufacturer's supported recovery process in the test environment and verify documented acceptance criteria, timing and recovery duration before relying on the plan.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not connect the rehearsal controller to live actuators or reuse production network identity without controlled isolation.
