Investigate a mismatch between the engineering project and running PLC
An offline file may not match the code and configuration actually controlling the machine. A familiar filename is weak evidence.

Observe and record
Use the platform's supported comparison or identification view and record application identifiers, build context and approved revision metadata.
Interpret the evidence
Some upload formats omit source, comments or dependencies. A mismatch does not authorize replacing the live program with the laptop copy.
Resolve and verify
Locate the verified as-running source and reconcile changes through the controls owner. Back up the necessary project and runtime context before a reviewed deployment.
Machine and data safeguards
Do not accept a login prompt that downloads code merely to inspect status.
