Oracle Database / Data Guard & High Availability
Use the Data Guard broker summary as an entry point
A broker warning summarizes a configuration condition but usually needs database-specific detail. Start with the managed configuration view.
Environment and inputs: Oracle Database 19c baseline · SQL*Plus-compatible SQL unless RMAN, DGMGRL, ADRCI or a host shell is specified. Check release, patch level, edition and container first.
Start with this diagnostic
Use the stated SQL, RMAN, DGMGRL or host shell and replace sample names with approved targets. DBA and V$ views need authorized catalog access in the correct container. Do not grant broad privileges for an example.
SHOW CONFIGURATION;
Read the result
Run in DGMGRL with approved authentication. The summary identifies members, protection mode and current broker status, but it is not a substitute for each warning's text.
Resolve and verify
Inspect the affected member with broker commands and correlate the exact error with database logs. Correct the underlying condition through the established management path.
Operational precautions
Do not disable the broker or recreate the configuration merely to remove a warning.
