Prepare the source and scope
Take one successful prompt and replace case-specific names with clear placeholders. Keep a sample input and a reviewed sample output. Open your available Microsoft Copilot experience and confirm whether it can read the intended work source.

In Copilot, provide the prepared input, then send the following request. For real work, replace fictional details with approved facts.
Turn this prompt into a reusable template. Use placeholders for audience, source and deadline. Include a three-point acceptance checklist and a short fictional example.Review the result
Try a second scenario with missing information and confirm the template asks for it or marks it unknown. Record each correction and its supporting source.
If the answer is wrong or incomplete
A reusable prompt should not retain a past customer's details. Review placeholders and sample data before sharing the template. If the active Copilot surface cannot access the file or app, paste an authorized excerpt into chat. Keep the same review criteria for the text-only workflow.
Practice and completion check
Repeat with one incomplete input. Check the answer against the review criteria, remove unsupported claims and save the prompt with its source version. This workflow has not been verified in a customer deployment.
