Kubernetes / Pods, Containers & Application Health
Collect Kubernetes events before the incident window expires
A brief scheduling or mount failure can disappear from current status after recovery. Collect namespaced events promptly.
Environment and inputs: Kubernetes · kubectl with supported client/server versions and delegated RBAC. Examples use namespace app unless noted. Check context, namespace, APIs and provider support first.
Start with this check
Confirm the environment and replace sample objects, namespaces, images, paths and hosts with approved targets. Share only relevant, sanitized output. Follow the workload owner’s process for changes.
kubectl -n app get events --sort-by=.metadata.creationTimestamp
Read the result
The list orders retained events by creation time. Events can be aggregated, expire and differ from a durable audit or application log.
Resolve and verify
Match the affected object and time with Pod state and controller activity. Preserve the meaningful first error and verify its corrective action.
Before changing production
Do not treat a missing old event as proof the failure never occurred or rely on events as a long-term incident archive.
